Work Life Wellness Physician Companion
At Work Life Wellness (WLW), we partner with licensed physicians across Ontario to provide our HSAT service through the Physician Companion program, streamlining the referral process for the diagnosis and management of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).
DOCTOR REFERRAL SUBMISSION
PLEASE BE ADVISED
Within our Physician Companion Program, OHIP coverage applies to eligible physician visits accessed through the Physician Companion referral pathway. Please note that the Home Sleep Apnea Test (HSAT) is privately billed at $275 + tax and is not covered by OHIP.
Contraindications
- A permanent pacemaker
- Under the age of 12, less than 65lbs
- Pediatric patient (12-17) with severe comorbidities such as Down syndrome, neuromuscular disease, underlying lung disease or obesity hypoventilation
- Sustained arrhythmias
- Injury or deformities to sensor sites (finger, wrist or chest)
- Use opioids
This test may not be suitable for your patient and would be best suited for a Level 1 Sleep Study. Work Life Wellness does not provide that service.
Important Note for Ontario Patients
To access the Ontario ADP rebate of $415.50 (75% of the ADP-approved price of $554) for a prescribed CPAP machine, a Level 1 sleep study completed in a qualified sleep laboratory is required. Work Life Wellness does not complete Level 1 sleep studies or provide a qualified sleep lab.
